Corinne Julius is a Journalist, Broadcaster and Curator who has been one of the best champions of new design talent in the industry. Ajudge of many applied arts and design awards she is also a mentor on the Crafts Council mentoring programme and has been a member of numerous Crafts Council committees. Corinne is a guest lecturer and student advisor at leading arts universities, including the Royal College of Art and the University of the Arts. In 2008 she was made an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Art for services to design and craft and is the Chair of the Critics’ Circle, Visual Arts & Architecture Section. In 2014 Corinne curated ‘Future Heritage’ the iconic contemporary craft show which is the central feature of Decorex International and showcases the best of contemporary craft from wood, metalwork and ceramics to digital. In 2016 she curated ‘Silver Speaks: Idea to Object’, an exhibition of Contemporary British Silversmiths at the V&A and most recently ‘Bloomin’ Jewels,’ a show of contemporary floral jewellery at Contemporary Applied Arts in London. Corinne has a keen eye and very valuable opinion that you should listen to very carefully if she happens to catch you in her sights.
